The Framework provides stakeholders
a set of strategies to improve conditions and outcomes for youth; and
a set of outcomes that can be used to track progress and accountability. |
By systematically assessing supports and opportunities, organizations can realistically hold themselves accountable
for providing youth with specific and important experiences that contribute to youth development
because these are the experiences over which they have control.
Measuring the developmental quality of the settings and activities where youth spend their time can act as a starting point for an organizational improvement process; and the action strategies can help organizations assess their areas of strength and prioritize areas for improvement. By linking improvements in organizational practice and structure directly to the developmental quality of youths experiences organizations can be better assured their efforts will yield the results they seek. |
